Hello Cottageville families! Our first PTO meeting of the year is going to be held on Tuesday, October 3 at 5:30pm. We will be electing officers. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Have a great weekend!

Good evening, Jackson County Schools will be sending out emails to the student email accounts of students who participated in the WVGSA Grades 3-8 last spring. These emails will include instructions and codes to allow you to review your child’s video report and other information from the tests. Please review the results with your child. If you have any questions about the report, please contact your child's school Thank you.

Mark your calendars for individual fall pictures on Monday, September 25. There will be more information to follow.

Good evening. This is Will Hosaflook, Superintendent of Jackson County Schools. Wednesday brings much anticipation with the start of a new school year. I am so excited to see our students and employees back in our buildings as we continue to work together to become the #1 school district in our state. We begin this school by sharing wonderful news – Jackson County Schools is now the 5th-ranked school district in WV in ELA and Math proficiency, moving up five spots from last year. We are so fortunate to have a fantastic community of parents and guardians that understand the importance of a first-class education and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure the success of our students and schools. As I just mentioned, our goal is to be # 1. Leading the state will not come easy. It will take hard work, determination, and perseverance from our children and the entire community to demand high expectations and excellence in our schools. I believe in the power of public education, as well as our parents, our employees, and especially our communities. Anything is possible; we must be willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish our goal. As always, I ask for your patience on the first day of school. There are many moving parts that we will continually perfect throughout the year. Once again, thank you for your support and encouragement as we start another exciting school year. Congratulations on your work being a Top 5 school district in the state of WV. Thank you and have a wonderful evening.

Hello CES families! Please join us for our annual 5th grade graduation parade tomorrow at 6:00. Let’s line the Main Street of Cottageville to send our kiddos off to middle school in style. The more the merrier!

To proficiency and beyond…GSA testing is underway at CES and our students are going to rock it!

Good evening. This is a reminder to all families that on Friday, April 21, 2023, Jackson County Schools will have a three-hour early dismissal for all students. If your child rides a bus, the bus will arrive at the drop-off location three hours before the normal drop-off time. As always, you can check the Zonar app to see the exact location of your child’s bus at any given time. Thank you and have a wonderful evening.
