First Grade has been learning about the history of the earth. They have learned about the crust, mantle, inner and outer core, water geysers, and volcanoes. They have also learned about three types of rocks, igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. They even made their own sediments (from chocolate and peanut butter chips) and created sedimentary rock,. They then applied pressure, heat and time and made it into metamorphic rock! They also experimented with making their very own fossils!
