CES Families: Tomorrow for lunch we are having fish sticks, macaroni and cheese, french fries, fruit, and milk. Our April PTO meeting is also tomorrow at 6, and all are welcome! Due to the forecasted weather, the track meet for tomorrow evening has been rescheduled for April 14th. It's going to be a great week!

Parents and guardians,
The Ravenswood Elementary Track meet scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025, has been rescheduled to Monday, April 14, 2025. If you have any questions, please contact your child's school. Thank you.

Good evening - Our annual Jackson County Schools STEM night event will be held on Thursday, April 17, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ripley Elementary School. STEM night is open to all Jackson County elementary-age students. We are asking parents to accompany their children during the event. Many of our "exhibitors" will be local companies and community members who will share their knowledge and passion for science, technology, engineering, and math. For more information, please visit the Jackson County Board of Education website or click the following link. https://5il.co/3cm61

CES Families: Also, next week is our spring testing for math and reading iReady. Please encourage your child to do his or her best. We are excited to see the growth made throughout the year. As a little incentive, the student with the most growth in each subject will get to "pie" Mrs. Durst! We will have a winner for each subject in K-2 and 3-5!

CES Families: Whew, what a busy week we have ahead of us! Tomorrow is picture day, Thursday is the field trip, and Friday is the kindergarten program at 6:00. Looking ahead, we have PTO next Tuesday @ 6:00 and the first elementary track meet too. Mark your calendars for April 15th; it is Wendy's Night (at the Ripley location) from 4-8!

CES Families: Just a friendly reminder that tonight is One Book One School from 5:30-6:30.

Also, by utilizing our NTI Days and Equivalent Time Days when schools were closed due to inclement weather, the last day of school for students is still May 30, 2025. Please have a wonderful, safe, and relaxing Spring Break.

Good morning, Jackson County Schools will now operate on an NTI Day for Thursday, February 20, 2025. Students should utilize their final instructional packet, number 5, or log in to the Canvas learning management system to complete their assignments. School personnel will be available at your child's school at 10:00 a.m. to answer any questions you may have. Thank you and have a great day

Jackson County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for Thursday, February 19, 2025. Snow is expected to enter our area around midnight, lasting until 8:00 a.m. One to two inches of snow is expected. We will evaluate the roads again in the morning. Please have a wonderful evening.

Good afternoon, this is Will Hosaflook, Superintendent of Jackson County Schools. First, I would like to apologize for any concern that my decision this morning to have school has caused you. The decision was made from information gained through our school weather debriefing the evening before, and our early morning snow drivers reporting snow had not begun. However, I take full responsibility for this decision. Unfortunately, the system has moved north placing Jackson County in its path until 12:30 p.m. today. Instead of releasing students early, after careful review of all weather information, we will dismiss schools at the normal time allowing the Department of Highways time to treat roads before the evening commute. Please expect bus delays this evening. Our goal is to take all precautionary measures to ensure a safe trip home for all children and staff. If your child drives to school, please consider picking them up or having them ride a bus home. Also, our principals will stay at their schools until all students have been picked up and returned home safely. Once again, I apologize for this morning and the issues it has caused. Thank you.

CES Families: Due to a water main break in Cottageville, all parent-teacher conferences must be cancelled today. We are sorry for this inconvenience! Teachers will be reaching out to you to reschedule. Stay safe and warm. I know many of our families are without water at this time!

Good evening parents and guardians. This is a friendly reminder that students will not attend school tomorrow, Monday, February 17, 2025, due to a professional learning day for school employees. If you would like to meet with your child's teacher, it is not too late. Please contact the school around 10:00 a.m. tomorrow to make arrangements. Thank you and have a wonderful evening.

CES Families: Just as a friendly reminder, glass vases and tall balloons are not permitted on buses due to safety concerns. Have a wonderful evening!
