Good afternoon. This is Will Hosaflook, Superintendent of Jackson County Schools. This is a reminder that Jackson County Schools will have a three-hour early dismissal on Friday, December 20, 2024. Also, Jackson County Schools will be closed from Monday, December 23 through January 5th with students returning to school on Monday, January 6, 2025. Please have a safe and wonderful Holiday Season.
CES Families: The Science Fair for 3rd-5th grade is Monday. All projects from home need to be here by 8:00am. If you would like to see their hard work, parents are allowed to view the projects from 8:15-8:30. Judging will start at 8:30. Have a wonderful weekend and go out and enjoy some Christmas lights. I just went to see some in Gallipolis and at Krodel Park in Point Pleasant! 🎄

CES Families: Just a friendly reminder that this week your child will be taking the middle of the year iReady benchmark tests in math and reading. We are excited to see your child's growth!
CES Families: We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! On Wednesday, Dec 4 we will kick off our annual "12 Days of Christmas." Please do not feel obligated to participate, it's just for fun. Also, the Jackson County Board of Education has approved Calendar A for the 2025-2026 school year. CES Families: Good morning! Just a friendly reminder that all generator tickets are due today. Please send them in or drop them off. We will be drawing for it tonight at PTO. Our LSIC meeting is at 5:30, followed by PTO at 6. All are welcome!
CES Families: The combo cotton candy is arriving today. If it gets here in time, it will go home with your child. Also, your child may have come home talking about the American Heart Association. We are partnering with them about heart health and they will be participating in activities during PE class. We are not asking you to do the online component for donations. This is not a fundraiser activity. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Veterans Day (Monday)!

CES Families: All popcorn has arrived! Some orders are missing cotton candy. It should delivered tomorrow. We are keeping track of anyone who still needs their cotton candy. Have a wonderful evening!
CES Families: The popcorn is arriving today! If your child is a pickup, we will have it ready for you this evening. If your child is a bus rider and can easily transport, we will send with them in a sealed bag. If your child sold a lot of popcorn and/or you prefer to pickup, come to the front office between 3-5 and we will have it ready for you. Thank you to all who participated, it's greatly appreciated!

CES Families: We just wanted to let you know that we had to make a last minute menu change for today. For lunch we will be having fish and french fries. Our bread delivery did not come today. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Wednesday 's menu will be taco salad now.
CES Families: The popcorn delivery date is tentatively set for Nov 6 or 7th. We should know for sure on Monday. On delivery day, you may come to the office and we will bring it to you!
CES Families: Our next LSIC meeting is Nov 12 at 5:30. We will be reviewing the school counseling plan, safety, and updates. All are welcome! All tickets and money for the PTO generator drawing are due on Nov. 8. The drawing will be at the PTO meeting on Nov 12 at 6:00. Have a wonderful weekend!
The Ravenswood Youth Boys Basketball League will be having sign ups on Thursday November 7th from 630-8pm in the front lobby of the Pit. The RYBBL is a 3v3 league with two separate divisions, a boys 2nd/3rd grade league and a boys 4th/6th grade league. The entry fee is $50 for one child and $90 for two children in the same family. The last day to sign up is Saturday November 9th from 12-1pm at the Pit. Directly afterwards there will be a skills clinic from 1-2pm for all 2nd and 3rd graders and skills clinic for all 4th/6th grades from 2-3pm. CES Families: It's been a great kickoff for Red Ribbon Week! Tomorrow's theme is "Drugs Are Out of Character", dress like your favorite book or movie character. Also, we are preparing all the popcorn orders to turn in for fulfillment. As soon as we get the official delivery date we will let you know. CES Families: The school has been made aware of a threat that was made on an evening bus route from an elementary school student. The situation has been handed over to law enforcement and they are investigating the threat and will handle it accordingly. We take the safety of our students seriously.
